Bang & Olufsen's Beosound A9 Just Got a Wool-Covered Woolscape Makeover

Bang & Olufsen has given its flagship Beosound A9 a new textile identity, and this time the collaborator is Danish weaving house Kvadrat. From September 1, 2026, the speaker is available in a new Sienna Brown finish paired with a "Woolscape" fabric grille, sold at select Bang & Olufsen stores and on the brand's website.
What's Actually New
The Woolscape cover is a wool-based weave developed specifically for the A9's circular grille, and it comes in four colorways: Mineral Red, Black Anthracite, Gold Tone, and Natural Aluminum. The speaker itself pairs the new textile with a Sienna Brown finish across the body and brushed aluminum legs, a departure from the more familiar white and black finishes the A9 has shipped in since its fifth-generation redesign. Bang & Olufsen and Kvadrat have worked together before, but Woolscape is being positioned as a standalone material story rather than a one-off limited run. Buyers who already own an A9 can pick up the Woolscape cover on its own for around $315, without replacing the whole speaker.
What It Costs
The complete Beosound A9 with the Sienna Brown finish and a Woolscape cover lands at roughly £3,700 (about $5,000), in line with where the A9 range has sat since its last refresh. That price reflects Bang & Olufsen's positioning of the A9 as a design object as much as a speaker, the kind of piece meant to sit in a living room rather than hide in a corner, and priced accordingly.
The Hardware Underneath the Fabric
Strip away the new grille and the A9 is unchanged where it counts. It runs seven individually amplified drivers (two tweeters, two mid-range units, two full-range drivers, and a dedicated woofer), pushing 1,500 watts of total power, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth streaming, stereo pairing, and multi-room support built in. Woolscape is a cosmetic and materials update, not a hardware revision, which is exactly why Bang & Olufsen can sell the cover separately for existing owners.
Why This Matters for Florence Trading Customers
Bang & Olufsen sits at the top end of what Florence Trading stocks for UAE home audio buyers who want a statement piece rather than just a speaker that disappears into the decor. A wool weave built for a Nordic showroom is an unusual fit for Gulf interiors on paper, but the appeal of the A9 in the UAE has always been more about the object than the climate it was designed around. It's a centerpiece speaker for a majlis or living room, and the finish options matter as much as the sound to buyers furnishing a space around it. The Woolscape release also confirms Bang & Olufsen is still actively iterating on the A9's materials four years after its last major redesign, which is a reasonable signal for anyone deciding whether to buy now or wait for the next finish.
Florence Trading carries Bang & Olufsen's home audio lineup alongside other premium brands in its Home Audio & Speakers collection, where UAE shoppers can compare the A9 against other statement speakers in the same price bracket.
